Mission Statement

To maintain the cash management system of the City of Los Banos, to accurately monitor and forecast expenditures and revenues, thus assuring the investment of monies to the fullest extent consistent with safety and liquidity. Funds will be invested in such a manner that will provide the highest interest yield within the confines of this policy and legal statutes consistent with safety and liquidity.

Background

The City Treasurer is elected by the Citizens of Los Banos to a four year term. The City Treasurer and Director of the Finance Department is Melinda J. Wall. She has been serving as the City Treasurer since March 1997. The Finance Department is located at City Hall, 520 J Street, Los Banos California 93635.
