All full-time City employees enjoy the following benefits:

Vacation Leave - two weeks paid after one full year, three weeks paid after five full years, and four weeks paid after fifteen full years.

Sick leave – accrued at the rate of one day per month of service, no maximum accrual, credit for unused sick leave as part of PERS Retirement.

Holidays - Eleven paid holidays per calendar year.

Retirement – Public Employees Retirement System 2.7%@ 55 Formula for Miscellaneous Employees, 3%@ 50 for Public Safety (Police and Fire) Employees. City pays employee contribution. Vesting occurs after five full years of service.

Health Insurance – City pays 100% of approved health insurance through PERS for employee and family. Coverage begins on the first day of the month after date of hire. City also pays 100% of retired employees Health Insurance benefits.

Life Insurance – City pays full premium cost for $50,000 coverage. Coverage begins first day of the month after date of hire.

City Dental and Vision Plan - $875.00 per fiscal year for employee and family. Coverage begins six months after date of hire. One year carry-over allowed.

Tuition Reimbursement Plan - for continued education upon approval of applicable Department Head.

Administrative Leave – for Management personnel only, five days per fiscal year.

Education Incentive Pay - $50 for AA Degree, $100 for BA Degree.

Optional payroll deductions of employee choosing:

Participation in deferred compensation plan. Current limit is $8,000.00 per calendar year or 25% of gross salary. Hartford and PEBSCO are the two City approved administrators for deferred compensation.

Enrollment with Merco Credit Union.

Reduced membership rates with Los Banos Fitness and Racquet Club.
