NOTICE AND INVITATION TO BIDDERS

THE CITY OF LOS BANOS
LOS BANOS FIRE DEPARTMENT
CONCRETE AND FUEL TANK CANOPY PROJECT

PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Los Banos invites sealed bids for the above stated project and will receive such bids in the offices of the City Clerk at 520 J Street., Los Banos, California 93635 up to the hour of 2:00 P.M. November 6, 2017, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud.

A bid summary will then be prepared and posted.

MANDATORY Pre-Bid meeting will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. October 23, 2017 at Fire Station Number 1, 333 7th Street, Los Banos, California 93635 to be followed by a field walkthrough at the project site.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The work consists, in general of: (1) the design and installation of approximately 23,000 feet of 6” thick concrete parking/training area with 7 light pole bases; (2) the design and installation of a 15’ by 20’ 10” thick concrete slab to support existing Convault fuel tank; (3) the design and installation of metal canopy to cover fuel tank and fueling area; and (4) the design and build of American with Disability Act (ADA) compliant Parking and Access Walkways to Two (2) Fire Stations. Please refer to the bid documents.

A full set of bid documents are available for examination at Fire Station #1, 333 7th Street, Los Banos, California 93635. Copies are available upon payment of a $35.00 non-refundable fee ($85.00 if mailed); or in digital format at the City’s website at www.losbanos.org.

Bids must be prepared on the approved proposal forms in conformance with the Instructions to Bidders and submitted in a sealed envelope.

The Bid is to be delivered in a sealed envelope no later than 2:00 P.M. November 6, 2017, addressed as follows:

Questions should be directed to Mason Hurley, Assistant Fire Chief in writing, via email: mason.hurley@losbanos.org by 5:00 p.m. on October 30, 2017. Any response to a request for clarification, questions and answers will be posted to the City’s website at www.losbanos.org no later than 5:00 p.m. on November 1, 2017 and if necessary, become a part of the Bid as an Addendum.
